Simpsons Gap HDR
So having refined my workflow HDR became a more attractive way to create images. But this was not the end of my HDR workflow journey as I have not even looked at the image recording process.
I could talk about the technical here but I'm going to look mostly about choosing the right scenes for a good HDR. The thing that I mostly look for in a decent HDR scene is just that a scene with a high dynamic range. A scene with bright highlights dark shadows and just about everything in-between.
The image I posted today shows these great contrasts. The red wall on the right was fully lit by the sun while the wall on the right and the feature tree were full in shadow. This is what made this scene a great candidate for a HDR.
