Dolina Pieciu Stawow Polskich, Tatra Mountains, Poland

This was just one of the amazing valleys that we were lucky enough to visit in Poland. As you can see it was a very frosty place to be with ice still covering almost the entire lake. I really did love taking photos of this lake and the environment as a whole because I had never photographed anything like it before. Each location had its own qualities to explore and shape into a good photo. Here on this lake I wanted to work with the reflection and the point of convergence of the ice and shore which are off set by the green dwarf pines which add the only warm tones to the image.

This is a HDR that I made a few tonal adjustments to in Lightroom.
