In Search of the Miena Cider Gum

USE CONTROLS TO VIEW SLIDESHOW

Here is a preview of what has been happening so far on the 25 day field survey on the  Miena Cider Gum (Eucalyptus gunnii subsp. divaricata). Our job is to search 63 sites in the Tasmanian high country where the tree could possibly grow and then record how many in each population, the health, the exact location and take genetic samples of each.

Its going to be a tough task because as you'll notice in the photos above the weather is not ideal but that's what the high country is all about.
