-Uluru Sunset from Camp (iPhone Photo)-
For the first time in two years I'm standing at the base of Uluru. The sights, sounds and wide spectrum of emotions that I saw during my 5 years of touring and photographing here come flooding back.
You can't be anything but truly enthralled by it no matter how many times you've seen it. For me it would have to be near my 150th time visiting Uluru and while some visits may have been more work than holiday they are all equally memorable. Remembering some of the highlights of my time here, everything from the most vivid red sunsets, rainbows and billowing desert clouds to the rare sight of deafening waterfalls thundering down Ulurus side, stirs a renewed curiosity and passion for exploration.
Over the next months I plan on visiting at least once a week and while the more comfortable winter visiting season is quickly slipping away I know what summer brings. It brings with it, admittidely, the unrelenting heat but also the most dynamic and spectacular environmental shows of color and light of the year. I'm here during the real season for photography, summer.
