Currently I find myself down in Hobart preparing for this years South Wester walking advetures. Just by pure fortune the Hobart Wooden Boat Fetsival is on and this morning I spent a few hours walking around and checking out the boats on show.
I can't remember being interested in boats before I spent 3 months sailing in Alaska on a wonderfully restored 19 meter wooden sailing boat but after such a journey it is a bit of a different story. I walked around Constitution Dock in Hobart and remembered the grand adventure as I heard of others journeys on the high seas. The festival was an amazing show of craftsmanship and passion with boats travelling form all over Australia to join in.
As a person who at best has a passing interest in boats it was a great morning and well worth a visit.
