The last 2 days has been a blessing, a client cancelled last minute which was a bit difficult to reschedule but gave me 2 solid days of unexpected time.
For these two days I've been adding several new galleries of images as well as setting up the first items for sale in the new online store page. The galleries are from as far a field as Guatemala with the Mayan Families gallery featuring images from my time working for an NGO over there. The two other galleries are the Lost Boys and Budgie Murmurations featuring images from Central Australia.
However, although I am delighted to have this images up for pubic viewing it is the online Store page that I am most pleased with. It has taken quite a lot of research to find the best solution for security and customer satisfaction. The system that I have decided to go with is not as automated as many from my end meaning that once payment is received everything is done by hand. For a busy person this seems too much more work but the final quality control is all based on my judgments. Many of the automated online services mean that I would never see or touch the print, something that I don't feel quite comfortable with.
What I've achieved in the last 2 days has been on my mind for the last 3 years so I am really happy with the rapid progress in their construction and implementation. Looking forward to the next few weeks my calendar is very full but I'll continue to update and add more galleries and blog enteries as well as edit out any kinks.
